PAM Air 1.2.7

PAM Air is a project undertaken by D&L Technology Integration and Consulting JSC that offers real-time ambient air quality information and air pollution alerts in Vietnam.

Officially launched in February 2019, PAM Air aims to provide the community with a straightforward, practical, and user-friendly tool for monitoring and receiving updates on air quality, issuing alerts on air pollution affecting the areas where people live, travel, and work.

The PAM Air website, available at https://pamair.org, and the PAM Air mobile app offer the following free features:

• Real-time Air Quality Map
• 24-hour Air Quality Data
• Search for Air Quality information by location or GPS
• Quick access by selecting favorite locations
• Automatic mobile notifications on air quality and air pollution

To ensure the accuracy of the displayed data, PAM Air exclusively employs air quality data directly measured by quality-verified physical equipment/sensors. The sources include data from PAM Air's own network of sensors, which are manufactured, installed, and operated by the organization, as well as data from reference air quality monitoring stations. Notably, PAM Air refrains from utilizing Satellite Modelling’s Air Quality Data or data from unknown and unverified sources.

PAM Air's sensor network is evolving under a 'socialization' model that encourages individuals, organizations, and companies to contribute to its expansion. Contributions may involve sponsoring locations to install sensors, covering sensors’ operational costs, or both. Every contribution made to PAM Air's network aids millions of individuals in safeguarding their families from air pollution.

The essence of PAM Air's strategy lies in 'Citizen Science,' wherein it serves as indicative information showcasing air quality trends and potential pollution instances. The primary mission of PAM Air is to voluntarily contribute and be accountable to the community and society. The organization eagerly anticipates collaborating with individuals, organizations, and relevant agencies to partake in endeavors aimed at fostering a greener, cleaner, and more eco-friendly environment in Vietnam.
